Chatham Rescue Squad, Inc.

Our Story
Chatham Rescue Squad, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing emergency medical services to the residents of Chatham and the surrounding areas. Our mission is to provide the highest quality of pre-hospital care to those in need while promoting public safety.
We have a long history of service, having been founded in 1928 as an extension of the local fire department. Over the years, our services have grown and expanded to meet the needs of our community. In the late 1960s, the squad became an independent entity with the sole purpose of providing emergency medical care to our community.
Today the our organization provides 24/7 services the towns of Chatham, Ghent, Austerlitz, Canaan, and New Lebanon along with providing mutual aid services to neighboring counties. Operating out of two locations, we strive to provide the best care possible and are committed to responding quickly and efficiently in times of crisis. We achieve this goal with the help of our dedicated volunteer and career EMTs and Paramedics.
